Everything at a glance Organic pinto beans 2 kg

Quail beans are the magicians among the legumes. Their eponymous red-brown speckles dissolve into thin air after cooking, leaving behind a deliciously mild taste and a fine consistency. Buy our quail beans now in the two-kilo value pack and lose yourself to its magic!

How to prepare quail beans

Before we start: the quail bean and pinto bean describe the same legume – in case any confusion should arise.

Canned food is practical, of course. But canned beans also cause a lot of waste and are more expensive in terms of quantity than our 2 kg value pack. Another advantage of our pinto beans is that you can cook them yourself and thus adapt the taste and texture to your preferences – from firm to the bite to very soft, it's up to you! Well, your court also has a decisive say: one may want rock-hard beans for their dip, or crumbling beans for their stew - so the decision will be made based on the dish and individual tastes.

1x1 preparation: soak your beans

Ordering quail beans online is a breeze, and their preparation is really almost as simple – as long as you pay attention to a few things: the most important is the soaking of the pinto beans, which does not only shorten their cooking time, but also makes them easier to digest. Simply place your quail beans in a water-filled bowl overnight, and rinse them thoroughly the next day: this reduces the cooking time to approx. 30 minutes!

Avoid bloating

Although being very high fibre and protein, these beans can be treated with a couple of small tricks which will reduce and avoid unpleasant contraindications like bloating and gas. Soak and rinse your beans, cook them for a long enough time, and use season wisely - we recommend cumin and ginger.

How to use pinto beans

It doesn't always have to be kidney beans! Quail beans not only leave their spots behind with the cooking, they also take on something: the taste of other ingredients. Therefore, pinto beans are ideal for salads, homemade dips, and soups and stews. They love spices and go particularly well with thyme and coriander. But they have also been widely celebrated as a star ingredient in dips and vegan burger patties. And the best part: the preparation is easier than you think! After you've cooked the quail beans, add your favourite spices and a few rolled oats, mix the whole thing – and voilà, your homemade burger pattie is ready.

Have we convinced you yet? Buy our quail beans now and fall in love with their magical mutability!

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Best nut

Very good quality, taste good and especially fresh.
Macadamia counts with the polyunsaturated fatty acids to one of the healthiest nuts.
The cultivation and processing make the nut so costly.
