The meaning of "Skinny Dipped"

No one is getting naked to prepare this awesome snack - although, actually, the comparison isn't all that far-fetched. After all, our blueberries aren't wearing any swimwear while being dipped in a bath of liquid dark chocolate (and no, we're not imagining blueberries in swimming trunks right now ...). Joking aside, we use the term "Skinny Dipped" because our freeze-dried blueberries end up surrounded by an extra thin and crunchy layer of dark chocolate.

In a nutshell, this process involves freezing our fruit and placing it under a vacuum, which immediately turns the frozen water into water vapour, thus removing almost all of the fruit's moisture. What remains in this case are beautifully shaped, crunchy blueberries that retain their intense fruit flavour and have a long shelf life.
