Everyone is welcome at the KoRo Club! Especially small, round fruits are always on our guest list. For even more vibes on the dance floor, we've given our dried currants that extra fruit kick and sweetened them with delicious apple juice - so they can dance for even longer. Be part of the party and order 1 kg of the finest currants!

Black currant or cassis?

No matter what name you use, they all stand for the same dark purple to black berry. We are big fans of the little fruit and have therefore brought them into our club... erh shop in the most diverse varieties. As a classic among freeze-dried fruit, our black and red currants taste delicious all year long. For something a bit different, you have to try our puffed currants! And our finely ground black currant powder is great to mix into your yogurt or smoothie. As you can see, we have a large selection, but we always find room for something new: our black currants sweetened with apple juice concentrate are the new star of the blackcurrant bush!

Delicious recipes with black currants

Admittedly, we prefer to snack on the finely sweetened blackcurrants straight from the bag - but of course we would also like to present you with a few recipes that can be refined with the sweet acidity of the fruit: Dried currants, for example, are a great ingredient for homemade muesli bars that provide you with enough energy on the go. The little berry also fits in perfectly as a topping on delicious oatmeal and its dark purple colour is a real eye-catcher. Blackcurrants are also a welcome icing on the cake. Lastly, they can also be made into jam or jelly. To do this, soak the dried fruit overnight. The sweetness of the apple juice gives your creations a perfectly balanced fruity and sour taste.

Buy dried black currants with apple juice

The night is drawing to a close and the fruit is slowly and reluctantly leaving the dance floor, but don't worry - our shop is open throughout. So grab our dried blackcurrants right now, refined with apple juice concentrate and packed in the 1 kg bulk pack! The sweet berries also come to your home with a high fibre content - party mode on!

Questions & answers: Organic black currant sweetened with apple juice 1 kg
100 g of our dried and sweetened currants come to 305 calories. You can read all the nutritional values in the table next to or below the product description.
Currants, also called cassis or currant, are characterized by a slightly sour, tart taste. The sweetness of the apple juice creates an incredibly delicious snack that you should definitely try!
Honestly, we prefer to snack on the little berries straight from the bag. But also mixed into a delicious muesli, together with granola, flaxseed and cocoa nibs and topped with organic oat drink, they are a pleasure. If you want to make jam or jelly, it's best to soak the currants in water overnight.
Cassis is the French name for black currants, but it is also often used in German-speaking countries. Perhaps you have also heard of the Crème de Cassis? This is a liqueur made from black currants, which is mainly used for the preparation of cocktails, such as the Kir Royal.
Healthy is first and foremost a balanced and varied diet. That's why we at KoRo don't like to divide food into categories. But we are sure that our dried currants will find a nice place in your menu.
It is best to store the berries in a cool, dark place. In the original sealed packaging, they can be stored for at least 12 months.
Our currants are first gently dried and then sweetened with apple juice concentrate. This gives the crunchy little fruits a perfectly balanced, fruity-sweet taste, without the use of granulated sugar. In addition, they have a particularly long shelf life in the dried state.
We are foodies, but not experts in pregnancy. From our point of view, there is absolutely nothing against dried currants during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but if you are unsure, please ask your gynecologist for advice.
