Everything at a glance Organic konjac noodles in water

Konjac noodles are also known as Shirataki, which means "white waterfall". Not only their name sounds magical – these noodles themselves are actually amazing! Konjac noodles are fat- and gluten-free, and wonderfully low-calorie, which make them a great alternative to the classic, more calorie-dense wheat noodles. And, lo and behold!, they are low-carb too!* 100 g of cooked Shirataki have less than 0,2 g of carbs. No wonder they are often sold in the USA with the name Miracle noodles!

Highly satiating noodles

Konjac has nothing to do with the French wine brand Cognac, but is instead the root tuber of the liliaceous plant called Konjac yam, a.k.a. devil's tongue, from which we obtain the flour that our noodles are made of. Konjac roots are extremely rich in Glucomannan, a water-soluble dietary fibre. Good news for all of those among you who care about their calorie intake: the Glucomannan contained in our Konjac noodles is going to make you feel full quickly and for rather long. Compared to traditional wheat noodles, Konjac noodles are substantially lower in calories and carbohydrates; they can therefore help you to lose weight.

Easy to prepare

Wait a moment; does this sound too good to be true? Well, it actually gets better, as Konjac noodles are also super easy to make! You must simply drain the water in which the noodles arrive to your house, rinse them with cold water – and voilà, your noodles are ready to be added to your favourite soup or vegetable stir-fry, without having to be cooked: just leeave them in the pot or pan for a couple and minutes, stir, serve, and enjoy!

Konjac noodles are a real all-rounder: they are delicious as a filling for your summer rolls, in a colourful vegetable stir-fry, or in a warm and hearty soup; they can also be sautéed in tahini and soy sauce, or matched to braised tofu. But the surprises are not over! If you love Italian flavours, you can try to have Shirataki with your favourite vegan Bolognese or pesto. Being very neutral in taste, our Konjac noodles are simply perfect for any recipe and seasoning, and a great alternative to wheat pasta.

What makes our Konjac noodles special

Konjac noodles are still pretty hard to find, in Europe; you might have spotted a packet of them in some Asian shop, or somewhere online. At KoRo, you can now order them in large quantities, and let them become a star in your kitchen! Thanks to our large-size packs, we can offer you these magic noodles for a convenient price – and in organic quality, of course. Have fun with them!

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

less waste and good product - clear recommendation

I ordered the konjac noodles when they still cost 10€ instead of 5,50€ - a bit annoying. The now lower price is now but about comparable with the prices in the Asia store where I usually buy these noodles. I ordered them at Koro, because in the Asia store the bags are always so small, which causes an incredible amount of waste - this is just clearly better here. The Koro also tastes a little less fishy, some feel that otherwise rather disturbing. 1kg refers to the drained weight according to Karo - all in all they weigh 1328g with packaging.

Hi. Question... how do you store the opened package of "konjac noodles in water"? Thanks a lot

1kg konjac noodles ordered 260g received

I order regularly from the Koro and had always been satisfied until now. Really great products. Thus, I also came across the konjac noodles and was curious to try something new. When the package arrived, the noodles were hard, but after a few hours they became soft and thawed out in the plastic bag. It turned out that the bag was not tight, because water leaked out and the 1kg package was no longer filled with noodles. I became sceptical and weighed the contents. It was actually only 260g of noodles that I could eat in the end, which also explained the unbeatable price of only 5.50€. Personally, I think you should give correct information on the packaging and not fill up 740g by water.
Rather set the price a little higher and then also really 1kg noodles to consume!

We love the neutral taste of the pasta,

We love the neutral flavor of the noodles, in Asian noodle pans, as they absorb the spices super well.

Very satisfied

Great product! No fishy smell, not too thin, not too thick width of the noodles.
I have tried a few other brands and am very happy with this product. If the price stays this fair, I will continue to buy these very happily from KoRo👍🏼🙂
