Everything at a glance Organic lupin beans in salt water 6 x 190 g

While soy beans' reputation is by now very solid, in the nutrition world, there is another actor who should not be afraid of stepping onstage: we are talking about lupin. Its nutritional properties are wonderful and as good as soy's. Very high-protein, lupins are a great alternative to soybeans or chickpeas. Next time you make hummus at home, try adding our lupins from the jar for an unexpected twist; or when you feel like flavoursome Mexican beans, throw in the pan some lupins for a spicy touch.Lupins are making their appeareance more and more boldy and frequently in many meat substitutes available in the supermarket. If, one day, you feel particularly creative and resourceful, you could even test your cooking skills with the preparation of your very own, homemade lupin tempeh. Our lupins are delivered to you in a beautiful glass jar, and already in their natural form can be used for countless experiments. We wish you a lot of fun and success with them! We would be more than happy to

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Finally soft and mild lupins

We have been enjoying lupins as a snack or in salads for years, as is the custom in Mediterranean cuisine. We have cooked dried lupins ourselves for hours after soaking forever, brought from Portugal in vacuum bags or bought from the Italian wholesaler. If you know how to use and prepare them : a delight and a very, very healthy, high protein SOYA substitute! But the "problem" with lupins is either their slight bitterness or their hardness, which leaves a certain graininess even when chewed or pureed. However, the Product Scouts at KORO have managed to find incredibly soft and almost creamy lupins with no bitter aftertaste. BIO to boot! We are super happy that this standard ingredient in our vegan life has received such a great upgrade!

I've never had pure lupine before.

I have never eaten lupines pure before and put them out of curiosity. Personally, the lupines are a little too sweet. But I think that is purely a matter of taste. If you find chickpeas too nutty, you might love lupins.

I love her!

Super substitute for chickpeas for a histamine intolerance. I am so glad that Koro has lupins in the range and then even in salt water - great! :)

Due to the neutral taste very variable use.
However, had expected a different taste, because I know lupins so similarly pickled from Portugal, but still tasty!

Very tasty, nutty crunchy

Find them very tasty. Have some resemblance to canned chickpeas, but only a little.
Nutty, crunchy and slightly salty (really not much salty taste remains).
