
It does not always need ready-bought protein balls or protein bars! With simple ingredients and an uncomplicated preparation you can prepare super fast homemade walnut cocoa protein balls. The balls of course, depending on taste, be varied. But that's not the only advantage with these protein snacks. Once made, you have a great supply that you can fall back on several days. Whether as a post-workout snack or simply for the sweet tooth in between, these balls just always go!
Ingredients (for about 15 pieces):
- 8 dates
- 60 g walnut flour
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnut kernels
- 15 g cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp. almond paste
- 1 tsp. Ceylon cinnamon
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 hect. Tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon for rolling
Preparation:
At the beginning, mix dates, walnut flour, cocoa, almond paste, cinnamon and salt in a food processor or in a powerful blender until a sticky mass is formed. Knead in the chopped walnuts and form about 15 balls. Roll them in the cocoa-cinnamon mixture and store them in an airtight container. The protein balls are ready!
