Many of us envied Arielle as a child - great hair, awesome shell bikini and she can breathe under water too. Nowadays, we envy her for one thing in particular: she always has seaweed at hand! What's so great about that, you ask? Then you should definitely try our algae chips! Wafer-thin and crispy, the spicy-sweet taste immediately draws you to the colourful seabed, down to dancing fish, singing crabs, glistening seahorses and, of course, mermaids. Dive in and buy our sesame almond seaweed chips!
Algae – more than just ocean floor covering
Have you ever been annoyed by the slimy algae on your favourite lake? We'll try to help by presenting you with the tasty benefits of algae! Seaweed is also an Asian speciality, which you may already know from your sushi restaurant. The leaf around your sushi is nothing more than sea weed leaf, also known as nori. In Asia, the sea vegetable has the same importance as many field grown vegetables have for us. Instead of sweet potato crisps, you can simply enjoy algae crisps. Other types of seaweed, such as wakame, are also gaining in popularity in Europe. The sea plants are a great addition to salads, fried rice and bowls, and make for great toppings in many other dishes. Their wafer-thin crisp version makes them a great alternative to conventional snacks. If you know our shop well, you may have found some of the other algae products we offer, such as organic clorella tablets, organic spirulina powder, organic spirulina tablets and organic agar agar.
Algae – from plant to snack
How does the sea plant make it into our bags? The freshly harvested algae are first rinsed thoroughly and chopped into bits. Combined with water, they are then spread on top of a bamboo mat and placed in the sun to dry. In Tokyo, you can even visit a nori museum that will guide you through the process. But you no longer have to fly all the way to Tokyo to enjoy the tasty nori flavour, you can easily order from KoRo!
Order algae chips with sesame and almonds online
Seaweed chips are an extravagant treat in themselves, but of course we wanted more. That's why we put the gourmet crown on the seaweed and refined it with sesame and almonds. Our organic smoked tofu was already proof that sesame and almonds go very well together. We like to enjoy our algae crisps pure. They are light and airy and convince through their full bodied flavour as well as the lightly sweet note. They are also a great topping for salads, soups and bowls or a side dish for sushi. Try the algae specialty for yourself and buy a 500 g bag of our sesame and almond algae crisps. Just sit back and relax, we'll deliver the crisps to your door!

Super crispy: my new addiction
Great flavor with a little sweet note. Super crunchy, great as snacks or to enhance bowls. They will be my new addiction. I absolutely recommend.
Good with customization
The seaweed chips are quite good. It lacks a little salt and the taste is a bit "funny" by the sesame. However, together with salad or with a little salt to it tastes good. Maybe in a different version it would taste even better to me. Otherwise 4/5.
