The sweet cherry – a fruity senior

And all that I can see, is just another cherry tree! The sweet cherry is a true primeval among fruit plants. A fruity senior, so to speak. Traces of our present-day sweet cherry are said to have been found in Stone Age settlements. Originally it came from Asia. Nowadays, the sweet cherry tree is also native to Europe, among other places. The harvest time of the sweet cherries extends roughly from the beginning of May (start of the cherry weeks) to the end of July. Our delicious cherries come from Bulgaria. After harvesting, they are pitted, dried, packaged and just waiting to spice up your pantry.

A variety of recipe ideas with sweet cherries

Cherries or sweet cherries can be used in many different ways. When Grandma isn't making a delicious homemade jam or compote from sweet cherries, you can also enjoy them as a fruity topping on muesli, porridge, yoghurt or quark. Our sweet cherries are also a delicious ingredient in muffins, cakes and other baked goods. You can also combine them with nuts – instead of sultanas – or buy a ready-made trail mix and add an extra fruity cherry note. And if you need that next-level cherry treat, soak the dried sweet cherries and turn them into a tangy cherry pesto or make delicious vanilla and almond energy balls. And a little tip for all big cherry fans: you can also make a wonderful liqueur from the dried sweet cherries. By the way, those with a sweet tooth who like it even sweeter should definitely take a look at our aromatic amarena cherries coated in dark chocolate As you can see: ḰoRo is good for eating cherries ;)

Questions & answers: Sweet cherries without added sugar 1 kg
Yes, our sweet cherries are pitted before being filled into the package. However, it can happen that some cherries still contain a stone. Therefore, you should always bite into them with a little caution.
First and foremost, a wholesome and varied diet is healthy. The fact is that our sweet cherries do not require any further added sugar and also score points as a fruity source of dietary fiber. They refine numerous dishes with their aromatic cherry flavor.

You've probably already guessed that: As the name suggests, the difference lies primarily in the taste. The sour ch erry contains more fruit acid and therefore tastes more sour compared to the sweet cherry. Due to the sweet aroma of the sweet cherry, it is also often eaten raw.
If you suffer from a cherry or fructose intolerance, we advise you not to consume the fruit. In addition, our sweet cherries may contain traces of gluten, soy, nuts, almonds, peanuts, milk (lactose), sesame and sulfur dioxide (sulfites). For more information on allergen labeling, please see the product page, under "Specification".
To make the sweet cherries last longer, you should store them dry, cool and protected from light. To make the cherries look even fancier on your storage shelf, you can alternatively decant them into our stylish jars.
There are 303 kcal in 100 g of our untreated sweet cherries.
Admittedly, "sweet cherries with no added sugar" does sound a bit confusing. However, our dried cherries naturally have a fructose content of just under 66g per 100g. Our sweet cherries are pitted, dried and can therefore be used wonderfully as a snack for in between meals or as a fruity topping.

They are well

They are quite good, although I thought they would be sweeter and more flavorful. I guess it depends on the type or variety of cherry.
